Product Reviews
Izziwotnot's Bailey Sleigh cot bed isn't the most expensive, but it's stylish and well-constructed. It's easy to put together, but it does require two people. It looks beautiful in any nursery. The panel was a big popular with our panelists who were enthralled by the dark wood sides and dowel edges. It's strong enough for your baby to use up until they become toddlers. It also meets British safety standards. The depth is not enough that your child can climb out the panel, and the distance between slats must not exceed 65mm. This should stop their heads from getting stuck. It is important to remember that you will need to purchase a mattress on its own and that's an extra PS88.
The sleigh shape of this cot is really beautiful and makes it stand out from the others. It's also easy to take your baby in and out, which is a big plus. It's slightly more expensive than some other cot beds, however our panel thought it was worth the extra money for the look and durability.
This cot bed is available in country pine or walnut finishes. It can be used from birth. When your child has grown out of their cot, you can easily change it into a junior mattress and then to a couch.
The westport design by Silver Cross is another cot that is hefty and built to last. It can be used from birth as a cot, then as a toddler bed, and then a junior bed. (Toddler guard rails are sold separately). It was a little challenging for our panel to convert the crib into a bed, but their other halves said it was easy and took less than 5 minutes. It's also slightly more expensive than other cots, however it's a style you'd likely like to keep and use for your children as they grow up.
